Boom Shakalaka!

This year we decided to bring the party to Grandma and Grandpa Channing's house for the 4th of July. We invited a few friends and Grandma C went crazy with the fireworks (as usual) There was good food, a slip and slide for the gaggle of kids, and way too much TNT at the end of the night.

Annika did great all day long especially because we had so many willing helpers that held her throughout the day. She didn't even seem to notice the fireworks exploding right in front of her.

Annika found the camera highly interesting but we were able to catch a couple of smiles from her. It seems like everytime she sees us she is giving us a big smile these days. Once again I could spend my whole day just watching her wiggle and giggle.

Fathers Day

What can I say....Father's Day will never be the same. New to the whole Fatherhood thing...I didn't know what to expect. I have been told that Annika has ordered me a gift but it won't be here for another week or so. I may not be a brain surgeon...but I have a sneaky suspicion that Mom might have had something to do with it....still...I can't wait to see what it is.

For my first Father's Day Grandpa C and I had an early round of golf and then we met up at Grandpa & Grandma Channing's house with Cara, Grandma C and Aunt Natalie for dinner and relaxation. Quite the perfect day. Can't wait until next Father's Day.

Annika's first festival

For Father's Day weekend we all heading down to St. Edwards Park for the annual Washington Brew Festival. Annika slept through most of the action and didn't seem to mind being outside with all of the people around. Thanks Pat for babysitting while Mom and Dad got to taste a couple of the local brews.

We were at our house over in Desert Aire and the local market had some Mexican papayas for sale that were absolutely huge! Easily the size of a football...our belly's were quickly full as it did not last long. Annika didn't seem too impressed though.

Mother's Day Weekend Photos

Memorial Day Weekend

That's right...just four days after leaving we headed back over to the cabin for some more rest and relaxation. Annika is turning into quite the traveler these days.

Thursday night my old teammate Kelly Laclaire joined us and on Sat morning Justyn and Julie Shevlin along with their little ones Tesa and Lochlan came over as well. Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Casa Awesome...Here we come

About a month ago now Linda Free came up to meet little miss Annika and to join us for the weekend. It was great to have her up from Arizona and she was a fantastic help all weekend long. Thanks again Lynda.

That weekend Annika got to go to our cabin for the first time. She handled the drive over and back quite perfectly.

Pat and Laura Fitzgerald (co-Casa Awesome Owners) joined us as well and along with Lynda they provided Cara and I with some extra hands and some extra rest.

All in all it was a great weekend. (Somehow I did not get any photos of the weekend...I will have to post some once I can grab a few from Lynda)

Happy Mother's Day!

Congrats to Cara on her first Mothers Day! We headed up to Grandma and Grandpa Channing to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa, Auntie Natalie and Cousins Arianne & Hunter. We all had a great time but i think my belt was put to the test after the fabulous food (thanks Mom)

I know this is late...I have been meaning to switch some photos from our home computer to my laptop but it just hasn't happened. Cara's brother Sean, his wife Nichole and Cousin Coulter joined us Mothers Day weekend and we had a fantastic time. But due to the above mentioned delay on my part I do not have photos here at work to post. I will add those as soon as I download them.

I must admit that I have been a little slow with the updates. Annika is just so fascinating that once I make it home I just can't bring myself to jump on the computer. Not to worry...I have plans for many updates soon to come...so check back in the next day or so as there will be photos galore!
